Sapphire Engagement Ring
A non-traditional sapphire ring was the brief, and I think we nailed it.
Working closely with the customer throughout the design process, we created this piece from 18 carat recycled white gold and ethically sourced blue sapphires. Mixing up the settings with a bezel setting for the larger trillion cut stone and a triptych of claw set smaller sapphires gives the ring a fresh modern feel, while keeping the design balanced and elegant.
Pear Shaped Diamond Engagement Ring
The sparkling pear shaped diamond for this commission was passed down from mother to daughter. Now set in 18 carat recycled white gold as a simple and timelessly elegant engagement ring.
It’s a real pleasure to work with inherited stones creating fully sustainable jewellery with a wonderful story that will be treasured for generations to come.
Salt and Pepper Engagement Ring
This simple engagement ring commission was all about the small details, from selecting a stunning salt and pepper pear cut diamond to shaping the pointed claw setting in 18 carat recycled yellow gold.
This attention to detail is why I love hand making bespoke pieces.
Cyrus the Great of Persia

This is not my usual sort of commission but I couldn’t say no, it’s such an unusual statement piece and I loved making it.
Rose Cut Diamond Engagement Ring
James knew that a rose cut, salt and pepper diamond was the way to go from the beginning, so this design is all about keeping it simple and allowing the beauty of the stone to take centre stage.
Rose cuts are often found in vintage jewellery, and this minimalist platinum design nicely balances the old and new in a modern engagement ring .
Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
A unique ring, made with gold gifted by a family member.
One of the joys of creating a one of a kind engagement ring is that it can become a collaboration between the jeweller and client.
In this case Kian wanted to propose with a ring much like our Ondine ring, but with its own unique characteristics. Together we worked through many design options, finding a balance between what he liked best in the original design and new elements such as small side stones and a larger centre stone.
The finished diamond solitaire engagement ring features a gorgeous 0.90ct, E colour diamond. Set in platinum claws, with six smaller diamonds set into the band. The gold used for the ring section was gifted from a piece of Kians mothers jewellery adding to the rings personal story.
Princess Cut Engagement Ring
The Galatea ring set with an ice white princess cut diamond.
Im always happy to adapt an existing design, making sure the small details are just right for you.
In this case Alex really liked the petite Galatea ring, but wanted her engagement ring to be a little more substantial.
This was achieved by increasing the stone size slightly from 3mm to 4mm, and the rest of the rings dimensions increased accordingly. A simple change that makes a big difference.
This version of the Galatea ring is also made in recycled 9ct white gold, which compliments the icey white princess cut diamond.
Kat and Marc
A bespoke solution when the gold wedding ring you really want will rub against your platinum engagement ring.
A Newton ring with a subtle difference. Kat fell in love with the Newton ring and wanted it in yellow gold to sit next to her platinum engagement ring. This is something which can cause problems, as the two metals rub against one another, the harder of the metals can wear down the other.
The solution was to solder a sliver of platinum to one edge of the gold ring. Protecting the gold, its practical and looks pretty cool as well.
Art Deco Crown Wedding Ring
An Art Deco stunner, made to fit around a vintage engagement ring.
Charlotte approached me to create a wedding band to fit around her stunning vintage engagement ring.
The brief called for a design that complimented the lines and shapes of the engagement ring. Whilst enhancing the vintage style and adding plenty more sparkle!
The result is an Art Deco wedding ring that is part of a show stopping combo.
Fairtrade Gold Wedding Ring
Designed to compliment a customers Aquamarine engagement ring.
Made from certified Fairtrade 18ct white gold, the top of this wedding band is scattered with aquamarines and diamonds. Two different shades of aquamarine and a range of stone sizes add to the random natural feel of the design.
Ruby Engagement Ring
A beautiful deep red ruby forms the centrepiece of this modern Art Deco engagement ring.
A red gemstone, Art Deco and Minimal were the three points I had underlined after my first meeting with Jake. The Galetea ring was also an early inspiration for this design.
The centrepiece of the engagement ring is a beautiful deep red ruby. Red is a colour that holds special significance for the couple, and the baguette cut stone works really well with the 9ct yellow gold of the ring.
Following on from this ring, I had the great pleasure to make Jake and Sallys wedding bands. Jake chose a flat band in 9ct white gold, with rough texturing. For Sally a bespoke wishbone ring was created to compliment her engagement ring. Two diamonds add sparkle whilst the rubies provide a link between the two rings.
Special attention was paid to the engraved details, so that they line up with the engagement rings ruby.
Minimalist Engagement Ring
The brief was for modern and dainty engagement ring that was understated but still stood out from the crowd.
Sarah and Jacky met whilst studying design courses at university. Both share a love of simple minimalist design that focuses on quality materials rather than ornate decoration.
Jacky approached me in search of a modern and dainty engagement ring that was understated but still stood out from the crowd.
Having talked through a number of designs Jacky was drawn to square or rectangular diamonds for their modern feel. The ring has been designed so that it doesn't sit high off the finger, the emerald cut diamond in a bezal setting providing a chic minimal look. The setting walls have not been tapered at an angle as is the case with many traditional style rings, instead the straight lines add to the modern aesthetic.
Throughout the design process the focus was on using the best quality materials, 18ct rose gold to give a slightly more unusual colour than yellow or white metals, and a very high grade white diamond makes an understated design eye catching.
Unique Sapphire Wedding Ring
A unique sapphire wedding ring designed to compliment a vintage engagement ring and make a statement when worn on its own.
Jess and Russell
This was a very fun piece to design and make. Musicians Jess and Russell approached me with a brief to design a unique wedding ring that made a statement when worn on its own but must also compliment Jess's vintage engagement ring.
Russell had proposed with a ring perfect for Jess who loves vintage clothing and design and plays saxaphone in an all girl 50s rock n roll band. The delicate engagement ring features three round sapphires and two diamonds set into white gold with a yellow gold band.
It was important for Jess that the wedding ring did not overshadow this but did want a bold design that pushed at the boundaries of what a wedding ring could be.
Art deco influences and the colours of engagement ring were the starting point for the design. During the process a number rough models were made in brass so the clients could see scale and compare the two rings in 3D.
The final design was handmade in 18ct yellow and white gold with hand engraved details.
The two rings although very different are linked visually in a number of ways. Not only in colours used but also attention to less obvious details. The size of band and milligrain setting echo that of the engagement ring and care was taken to source a pear shaped sapphire whose widest section was equal to the diameter of the engagement rings centre stone.
This really is a wedding ring unlike any I've made before, inspired by the likes, loves and unique personality of the client, something only a bespoke piece can provide.
