Bespoke Design Service

We specialise in creating bespoke jewellery. From unique wedding and engagement rings to personalised gifts or statement pieces Daniel will work with you to realise a one of a kind design. As befits a bespoke process everything is made using traditional techniques in Daniels London studio.

All bespoke commissions are different its what makes them fun but here is a quick timeline of what to expect when commissioning a special piece of jewellery.

The commission begins with your idea, this could be as simple as personalising one of our existing designs by adding a stone or engraving, or using our signature style to inspire the creation of a totally one off piece.
At this early stage it is not necessary for you to have a complete design in mind, just email with a general idea of what you would like. If you have any images or reference points send these as well to give us as full a picture as possible.

Do you have particular metals or colours of gemstones in mind? Again you don’t have to know exactly what you want but if we know a colour palette we can advise on the options available.
It is also a good idea to set your budget. The materials and processes we use to create a piece will depend on budget, with this understood from the beginning everything else should run smoothly.

Having begun an email conversation about the direction of the design the next step is to to clarify its main elements. For anyone able to travel to London we can arrange a design consultation. This is a useful opportunity to view any particular stones we have sourced to fit your brief and view different metal options.
However if meeting in person is not possible don’t worry we make pieces for people all around the world and the design consultation can take place via further emails or a relaxed chat over the phone at a time suitable to you.
We will then begin a range of initial designs and send various rough sketches or images of models for your feedback. With this input we will create 2 final designs for you to choose from. Once a final design has been selected you will sign off the design. At this point we require a 50% deposit before we can begin creating.

It is now time for us to make the piece, we will send you progress shots from the bench and regular updates at each stage of the process.

A bespoke piece requires a lot of time, depending on the complexity of a design between 4-12 weeks. It is always best to err on the side of caution so contact us as early as possible and keep in mind that at busy times of the year we will be working on multiple commissions at once so turnaround times may be longer.

Once the piece is finished we will send photos for your approval before packaging and posting it via a secure delivery service.
